The Sexual Assault Community Coordination initiative is a sub-committee of the Shuswap Violence in Relationships committee, working to addresses lack of understanding, lack of community co-ordination, and increase support for victims of sexual assault in the Shuswap region. Collaboration reduces isolation and increases support to those impacted by sexual assault or those working with a victim(s) of sexual assault.
This multi-stakeholder group is chaired by the SAFE Society and includes a diverse group of representatives from the criminal justice system, healthcare, education, social service, and anti-violence programs.
